Florida DUI Statistics

In Florida, the percentage of alcohol related fatalities peaked in 1983, while the actual number of alcohol related deaths peaked in 1986 and the lowest number of drunk driving deaths occurred in 1997. In 2005, out of all traffic fatalities, 36% involved a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 or higher, with 1271 fatalities, which was the highest number since 1990.
