Maine Oui Attorney

Attorney Peter J. Cyr grew up in Central Maine and attended Piscataquis Community High School. He graduated in 1989.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Providence College in 1993, Attorney Cyr helped disadvantaged kids stay in school in Austin, Texas as a Vista Volunteer.

Peter graduated cum laude from the Maine School of Law in 2000 where he received the University of Maine Alumni Association Award for academic excellence in written and oral communication skills.

As a practicing attorney, Peter J. Cyr focuses on litigation in the State of Maine and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Peter's vast experience as a trial attorney and his knowledge of court proceedings are a great asset to his clients.

Peter is licensed to practice in the Maine and Massachusetts courts, the United States District Court for the Districts of Maine and Massachusetts, and the United States District Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Peter is a 15 year member of the Maine Commission on Indigent Legal Services, as well as the Maine Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a long-time supporting member of the Cleaves Law Library, and a valued guest speaker for the National Business Institute, which provides continuing legal education seminars to attorneys.
