Douglas Clifford earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Conflict Management from Kent State University. After graduating from this institution in 1995, he went on to enroll in law school at Case Western Reserve University. In 2001, he obtained his Juris Doctor and became licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
From 2001 to 2007, T. Douglas Clifford worked as Assistant Public Defender for the Huron County Public Defenders Office. From 2007 to 2012, he worked as Assistant Law Director/Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Norwalk. In 2012, he founded his own firm: Law Offices of T. Douglas Clifford, LLC, where he continues to practice today
